"I didn't think the game itself looked all that fancy, compared to most other games... but I LOVED the gameplay :) the knife/helmet throwing, the punching, ..." - Joske |

Team-specific classes
Engineers are very handy in objective-based maps, although they can also be used to clear a group of enemies. Engineers start with 1 pack of Trinitrotoluene, better known as TNT. Light the fuse, toss and wait 15 seconds for a big enemy-clearing objective-destroying bang. Work well with your teammates and coordinate attacks: the bazooka or panzershreck needs to be aimed carefully and you must kneel before you can fire. This action slows you down a bit so there'd better be some covering fire! Note: engineers always get 6 rockets/grenades: 1 loaded and 5 spare. Keep in mind that this isn't a royal amount so use them wisely!
American engineers use the Bazooka. It's a reasonably accurate weapon in-game and if you are good with it, you can direct a rocket directly onto someone's head. Additional weapons include a Colt 1911 .45 handgun, a pack of TNT, army knife and "pineapple" Fragmentation grenades. |
The Projector, Infantry, Anti Tank, weapon was one of the first anti-tank weapons produced. The British engineers need perfect control of the PIAT in order to get a direct hit. A fired round doesn't fly straight on like rockets from the German panzerschreck or the American bazooka so you definately need to know what you're doing with this kind of weapon. Take a deep breath, calculate your angle and fire! Additional weapons include a Webley MkIV revolver, a pack of TNT, army knife and "No69" grenades. |
Russian engineers use captured Panzerschrecks, although you might see that in-game this weapon is mistakingly named the RPG-1. The RPG-1 actually is the Panzerfaust, a much smaller and lighter anti-tank weapon, which the Russians had taken and renamed. In game, you're working with the Schreck anyhow. Additional weapons include a TT33 semi-automatic handgun, a pack of TNT, army knife and "F-1" Fragmentation grenades. |
German weaponry seemed very popular during the second world war and this explains why also the Polish engineer is using a Panzerschreck. Taken from his enemies, this weapon is now turned on it's creators. Don't waste your rockets too often and you'll make it through the game just fine. Additional weapons include a Vis wz 35 handgun, a pack of TNT, army knife and grenades. |
The Germans were equipped with the Panzerschreck. Loosely translated it means the "fear of the tanks". Firing this weapon produces a lot of 'backheat' which required the Panzerschreck to be fitted with a blast shield. Luckily for you, this shield doesn't only stop smoke and heat. Additional weapons include a Walther P38 Pistol handgun, a pack of TNT, army knife and "potato-masher" grenades. |
I forgot what the Japanese team actually has, but I think it's a guy with a handgun, an infantry rifle, some TNT and funny giggle. That last one I made up. |
