Team-specific classes
It all started with the Airborne on June 14, 1944. They were dropped behind the enemy lines to take out some of the important key points in the German defense. In DDay Normandy they have a supportive roll and are sometimes dropped in strategic places. They are not often used unless all other machine gun units are taken. He's also faster than the Infantry class, which could prove useful in objective-type maps. Note: the spawn point of an Airborne is set per map and cannot be changed. You can't choose your landing spot.
The US Airborne class uses the M1 Thompson. He starts with 5 clips, each holding 30 cartridges. Additional weapons include an army knife and "pineapple" Fragmentation grenades. |
The British Airborne were given the Sten Mk II. This gun is known to "jam" once in a while. Keep you fire under control to avoid this. He gets 5 clips with 32 rounds. Additional weapons include an army knife and "No69" grenades. |
The Russian Airborne class is very similar to the Officer class. Both use the PPSh 41 submachine. The difference between these 2 is the fact that the Airborne doesn't have any binoculars, and thus can't launch any airstrikes. He only gets 1 drum, which contains 71 extra bullets.
Additional weapons include a TT33 semi-automatic handgun, army knife and "F-1" Fragmentation grenades. |
The Polish Airborne uses the Mors wz. 39. He gets 5 clips, each holding 25 cartridges. Additional weapons include an army knife and grenades. |
The German Airborne class were equipped with an MP40. 1 clip contains 32 bullets, giving this unit 5 clips to start. Additional weapons include an army knife and "potato-masher" grenades. |
The Japanese team lacks an Airborne class but instead has a frantic Japanese guy running around with a katana sword. Check out the team-specific classes and look for the Banzai!! class. |
