Changelog |
- April 3, 2020
Made the entire site centered instead of left-aligned so it doesn't look weird anymore with the centered background.
- March 9, 2007
I've created this page. Makes it easier to see what I did, when I did
it and how long it took me to finish it. Helps to estimate upcoming
actions by comparing and the such.
I'm also working on Olate since yesterday. All I need to do is get a
hold on a friend for the database and transfer the files from
F.U.B.A.R.'s.
I added a "Community Info" module on the site's top right navigation.
This way visitors can see the latest community news and the such.
I've looked up the lyrics to the song on the vid I made. In case someone is curious. I've put them on the movies page.
Changed the look of the maps page and edited the Olate logo (original) whilst waiting for Eclipse updates.
- March 18, 2007
I've added another movie
to the movie page showing how the DDMv3 works. Made in 5 minutes using
CamStudio and Windows Movie Maker on Windows Vista.
- April 4, 2007
I added a page with the rules. If you are new, read through these rules before you hit a server.
I edited the small team images on the classes pages (only to be seen when you select Officer)
I've added a few more links from page to page so that newcomers find related items quicker.
- April 5, 2007
I edited the classes today again by adding the information. Don't mind the infantry 'global' description. I seriously need to come up with better bullshit to write.
The infantry class is finished, as well as the officer class. Minus the Japanese officer. I got lazy.
I've put up Wolf's list on the weapons page so people at least can get an idea of all the weaponry in the game.
Edit: as a matter of fact, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it'd look. Maybe I'll just make links to detailed pages from this one.
- April 25, 2007
I've added a small movie preview on the index which, when clicked, links to the Video Google 'version' of the movie. A small link under the preview leads to the full quality movie.
The light machine fun class is finished. Moving on to the heavy machine gun class.
- April 28, 2007
Heavy machine gun, Airborne and Sniper classes are finished. Moving on to the Engineer class.
I've added some news to the mainpage with plans I've got in my head.
- Juli 12, 2007
I've changed the index page so that the last official news post is always shown on top.
I also removed the google video version from the left, since it wasn't really big enough. If you want to see the google video version: google video for it.
- Juli 13, 2007
New to the site: the HUD page. It briefly explains the Heads Up Display of DDay Normandy.
I'm seriously thinking about putting some google ads on the site and use this to donate to active developers (not myself).
- Juli 17, 2007
Wow shit, what just happened? Are those class pages finished? That's right: they are.
Engineer is finally finished and while I was at it I completed the team-specific classes too.
I've talked to the server administrator and I think the database problems will be fixed very soon!
- Juli 18, 2007
I've added a small page which explains some words used in DDay.
Added a page with common problems in DDay.
- November 6, 2007
The site is cramped with PHP code, as to make it dynamic. This is how the site currently works:
When I'm not feeling lazy and I'm not playing any games, I login to the brandless FTP. I then select the file I want to "update", click it and edit it manually.
That's weak... Now the site edits itself, and I no longer require an FTP program to edit the site. Yay.
- November 13, 2007
Well, the newspage is finished, I used some ugly code, admitted, but it works. Site is more dynamic, I don't need to edit a million pages anymore as most things are now centralized.

Community Info |
Himmy's server went offline, unfortunately, this time it will stay offline. Himmy rented the server and considering the small community it was time to let go.
For your information, COOLnet and dday.mine.nu are still fully functional!

To play DDay: Normandy online you need a server browser.
Remember to read the rules before you join a server to avoid unpleasant situations.
Tas has made an excellent program called the "DDay Monitor". You simply run it and click a server to join in. Not sure how to use the DDMv3? Click here.
Alternatives are the "All-Seeing Eye" and "XQF".
