Where is Quake Live heading? Marty Stratton Interview
Where is Quake Live heading? Why did the id software crew decide to remake an old game that’s basicly the same as the original? Every day in the private beta forums people ask questions that have been answered on numerous occasions already. That’s why I thought it might be worth bringing up an old interview gaming journalist Carmac conducted with the Quake Live producer Marty Stratton, about 5 months ago at the SK Gaming website .

In this 20 minute interview Marty Stratton talks about several things. He talks about bringing the game of Quake to a whole new audience through accessibility and advanced game matchmaking. Marty also talks about Quake Live features still to be made, about the way tournaments could be organized in Quake Live, how advertising through IGA will work and the risks involved in terms of success or failure of the whole Quake Live project.
In other words, definitely worth the watch! You can stream the Marty Stratton interview at the SK gaming website. It will answer many questions you might still have about Quake Live.
