Standard mappool for September
Let’s have a quick look at what this month’s Standard Rotation has in store for us. CTF is going in for an amazing month with community favourite Space CTF. Just kidding though, Ironworks, Japanese Castles and Courtyard will be the maps to play.
For TDM, we’re going to be looking at Dreadful Place and Hidden Fortress mostly. I’m not TDM-literate enough to judge on Arcane Citadel, which was introduced in Premium Pak 17 and has been reviewed by me and Lashknife.
Finally, if we look at Duel we can pretty much predict that you’ll be seeing a lot of Blood Run and Lost World. For those looking to practice their aim, definitely try out Eye to Eye, and last but not least, in any gamemode that’s available to you, play a few rounds on Quake 2 classic The Edge!
The September 2013 Standard arena rotation is now online. On the first Monday of each month, we will be cycling the Standard arena pool. Rather than only having access to the same standard arenas day in and day out, each month we will now feature 25 arenas selected as playable for Standard-level matches.
Newly released arenas will remain exclusive for at least three months, but every other arena is eligible to be included in the cycle.
