5 weeks of serious TDM Quake Live action, that’s what the groupstage of the Quake Quick Cup TDM Nations Cup 2010 was all about! This week we’ve seen the remaining games between Russia and UK (week 5) on Tuesday, and yesterday Hungary vs Italy from week 4, and that only leaves the clash of Sweden with the Netherlands! I know I’m late reporting this, but I didn’t get the chance to watch the semi finals and the grand final live on ESL TV this weekend, so I have been ignoring about every news page or mail message or feed that could possibly spoiler the results of the clash of these titans. And oh boy, some great games have been broadcasted with excellent commentary by ESL. Read More
Today the Quake Live world championship kicks off but it’s interesting to see that the players are not nervous at all 😉 and instead of training hard are giving interviews here and there 🙂
I smell a lot of boasting but still, have fun reading: Read More
We can’t stress this enough, and by we, I don’t mean just Holysh1t, I mean every news posting organization!
The IEM4 World Championship games are soon to begin, and the attending players are all touch-worthy (Just stay above the belt, when reaching out for them 😉 )
The Asian IEM4 has been decided earlier on in February, and ESL finally has released the list of players who confirmed they would come, as on last notice, Asian finalist [sweden] proZaC was not going to make it and is replaced by [usa] dkt. Read More
BiBS is happy to announce the 3rd season of their Capture The Flag league. Both previous seasons had a good turn up with 6 divisions playing for promotion or relegation.

Since that’s not the case, it may be fun to find out who the community rates as the best player on the ESL Intel Extreme Masters World Championships.
So who do you think will claim the title of World Champion at CeBIT 2010 in Hanover, Germany?
(From March 2nd to 6th, but unless you lived under a rock for the past few months, you already knew that 😉 ) Read More

Didn’t I say I like frag movies? Yes I did! And a shiny one is seeing the light of day!
From zEvon’s hand we will find ourselves watching a very nice Quake Live movie called Europe 2010.
The trailer specifications don’t lie: capped at 300 fps, rendered at 60 fps for a whopping 30 hours using tools like Sony vegas 9 64Bit, Adobe After effects cs4, Vdub 64bit, Trapcode Plugins, Protools 8, … that promises some good stuff for the final movie.
But all this cannot happen without your help! We need you to send demos to euroquakelive@hotmail.com, just like with our own series of Moment of Fame, but with some differences: Read More
I love fragmovies! Either they are packed with nice sequences of several players hitting incredible frags, or just a compilation with very fun moments where a flag gets returned and a cap is just made right on the buzzer.
All that with nice transitions, some good music in the background and you’re good for some “ooh!” and “haha i lol’d” or “wtf? wish I could do that” for the upcoming minutes. Read More
In our previous post to remind you all of the upcoming ESL World Championship, there were still some gaps to be filled by the finalists of the IEM4 Asian Championship which took place last weekend. Read More
