Alright, Clanbase announced the player list for the 21st EuroCup – the 2nd for Quake Live duel.
Some time ago we posted about the announcement of Bring it Back Safely Season 3 and a good 45 days later, with somewhere in between two drafts of possible groups seeding, the guys from BiBS have released the final groups and match rosters for their 3rd Season of Capture The Flag!
Promoting community efforts is a noble thing. Therefore it is required to publish about as many competitions as possible, just to keep all your free time occupied by playing Quake Live!
And speaking of “keeping busy”, that’s exactly what the House of Quake tries to do with their 3 leagues for Quake Live: Duel, 2vs2 Clan Arena and 3vs3 Clan Arena.
Get ready, for a fresh chapter in the ESL Major Series will soon start in the usual form of a 4on4 TDM competition. With eternal fame (at least until next season) at stake and some nice prize money to win, there is no doubt that the signups will far exceed the cups limit of 16 teams and as such qualification rounds are in order!

What I’m trying to say is that European Sports League Quake Live BeNeLux won’t be getting an “official” European Pro Series.
A few weeks ago the EAS (European Amateur Series) were opened and if certain activity criteria were met, an EPS would get started. ESL only has 4 EPS and it had already chosen 3:
- Counter-Strike: Source 5on5
- Counter-Strike 1.6 5on5
- Call of Duty 4 5on5
And, since monday, Trackmania Nations: Forever was added as the fourth EPS.
The reason they picked TMNF over QL, although both communities had similar activity, is because they just had to chose something. See of it as a random pick.
Everybody does Kung Fu Playoffs… HUH!
So many cups, so many games, but some rounds deserve more attention than others. And amongst those are the CTF Playoff rounds of the 2010 Clanbase Nations Cup!
Tonight was the last groupstage game for the QuakeQuickCup NC 2010 TDM and for Sweden to get a spot in the playoffs, it needed a solid 2-0 mapvictory over the Netherlands, in order to bump Finland from the 2nd spot.
In a previous post where ESL confirmed Quake Live to be part of their upcoming European Nations Cup, they now seem to have partnered up with ASUS for this 12 slot Nations tournament and qualifications are set to go next week!
