New servers in New Zealand
Quake Live is expanding into new territory. Thanks to Orcon there are now servers in Auckland, New Zealand. To make things a bit more clear on the website they have renamed the location “Australia” to “Oceania”. If someone from that region can test the connection with the new servers and let us know, that’d be great.
We are happy to announce the opening of a new location in New Zealand, courtesy of our friends at Orcon. You can find these matches under the “Oceania” location, which has been renamed from “Australia” in order to more accurately reflect availability there. You may need to refresh your browser to see the updated filters.

Orcon is my ISP and I’m in Auckland – I ping 12-15 to the Auck servers. I just tested Sydney1 servers and I ping 35 to them. Yesterday I was pinging about 60-70 to syd1 so I guess there’s less load on the Aus servers or something.
Thanks!
