IEM4 EU Champions roundup!
Right, unless you’ve lived under a rock this weekend, or got a little feverish like me and as such missed out on the semis and finals – thank you demos! – you already know the contents of this post. But for those who don’t, here’s a little roundup of what happened on Saturday and Sunday 23rd/24th in the last rounds of the Intel Extreme Masters 4 European championships.
The final standing of the EU Championship is as follows (and the top 6 have claimed a spot at the World Championships in March 2010 at Cebit in Hannover, Germany):
- [belarus] cypher
- [poland] av3k
- [russia] Cooller
- [france] strenx
- [sweden] fox
- [italy] stermy
The Germans didn’t make it to the WC as both [germany] Calipt and [germany] k1llsen end up at 7th and 8th place. Still an amazing performance to have made it to the quarter finals of Europe’s finest duelers!
9th to 12th lists [austria] noctis, [france] l1nkje, [sweden] Z4muZ and [sweden] Spart1e.
13th to 16th sees [belgium] dem0n, [uk] zsx, [netherlands] draven and [uk] GaRpY.
Details on the prize money can be found in the ESR coverage post and on ESL itself.
Next on is the World Championships in March!
