Halloween’s Infected 2017

If you remember the old days, you’ll remember that during many holidays something special happened in Quake Live. Around Halloween the devs would spin up the infected gamemode. Everyone starts on the same team with a bot AI acting as the mastermind. Whoever he could kill turned to his team until everyone was turned into gauntlet-wielding skeletons.

This gamemode is back, with the omission of the mastermind. A random player is chosen to be the source of the infection and hit as many players as possible with the gauntlet until everyone is turned. A server is running in EU, but if you want to host this gamemode yourself, then spin up a server and use these files.

I’ve just started an infected server for Halloween! Unfortunately Mastermind is still on vacation, but don’t worry, Mastermind left us his Plasma Gun collection, so every player gets a free Plasma Gun with limited ammo at spawn time!
