Gamedrone’s 16 Quake Live Beginner Tips
As a beginner in Quake Live it can be quite frustrating having to play, despite the matchmaking system, the many veteran Quakers roaming the servers.
Whatever you do or try,… these players always seem to have an edge on you.
As an initial answer to this ‘problem’ Gamedrone.net wrote an extensive article with 16 Quake Live gameplay tips for beginners.
Just a few of the golden newbie tips mentioned in the article:
Study your environment
Learn where the weapons, armour and health pickups are located. Also take note of possible powerups on the map and any possible height advantage you can derive from the map. It’s also a good idea to give it a few runs ‘as if’ you were playing, to get a feel for how to best move across the map.Follow the leader
The best way to learn how to play is to imitate someone who is good at the game.Appropriate movement will save your life
The way you move isn’t just determined by your skills and preferences, but also by the weapons you’re facing.Keep at it
Don’t just give these tips a try and quit after a few days of play and little in the way of results. A couple of days of play is not enough to become a good player, especially not in this game. The importance of sound
In a game of Quake next to nothing is as important as sound, especially in duels.
