As the recent QLReddit 2v2 tournament we had was a great success, we are organising another duel tourney. The tourney is open to anyone. There are currently no prizes, although is may change. Anyone is welcome to stream the games (especially participants!), so long as the players don’t mind and you let an admin know.
CrazyAl from Reddit has announced a newbie duel cup next saturday, 8th of March, starting at noon CET. A week ago the Electonic Sports Association has opened it’s doors and went into public beta. ESAGamer.com is what you can call a fundraiser website with a prize distribution promise for eSports tournaments, not just for pros, but for everyone. All you need to do is put in £5 to get everything going.
Of course when a new site like this has been launched people have a lot questions. We had the chance to sit together with the director of ESA over a Skype call and ask him some questions, so we dove straight in with questions about the prize distribution.
ESAGamer.com has officially been released into open beta, meaning anyone can register. ESAGamer is a tournament site that will work with free and paid tournaments, based on subscribers. People pay a fixed fee that will be converted into prizemoney for the tournaments. The concept is fairly simple and added up 1000 subscribers will result into £5000 prize money. The more the merrier and ESAGamer guarantees prize money tournaments for low tier players as well, given that they are subscribed, of course.

In the past few months, a number of individuals in the community has discussed, planned, and tested what we all hope will bring additional energy to our beloved duel scene in Europe.
FACEIT and Kevin “strenx” Baeza are proud to officially launch a brand new series of daily cups:
Starting this month, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will feature two cups running concurrently each day. Each cup will be capped by Faceit-Rank, meaning you can join the cup only if your skill is lower or equal to the value (you can always join higher ranked cups). The prize pool will be 10$ per cup, distributed among the first places, for a total of 400$ sponsored by strenx’ project donations.
Clanbase opened the sign-ups for the EC26 (for those who didn’t want to bust their brain over XXVI) and they have recently made a post about the map pool. Sign-ups will stay open until the 9th of September. More notable is that the mappicks will be done by a public poll, supervised by chubz. Group stage games will be played in a Bo3 (Best of 3) format, from the playoffs on, games will be Bo5.
It was the last edition of the popular ZOTAC Duel Cup today. 275 people had signed in today. To make it even easier for you, we have listed them all below for your convenience. Note that Own3d.tv cuts recorded livestreams into large chunks of 1 hour clips. It looks like the ZOTAC Duel Cup will come to an end this sunday, july 29th. It will have lasted 144 editions. Every week players can sign up freely to the cup and try to win the €100 prizemoney, winner takes all. This means the duel cup alone has distributed €14400 to the players, mostly to Strenx, who has won a staggering 48 games.
