DreamHack Winter 2009 lift-off!

One of world’s most famous and biggest lan parties ever, is about to take off.
DreamHack starts the Winter 2009 edition on Thursday, November 26th at 8:00, handling various games up to Sunday, November 29th at 10:00 (Just in time to get out before the big cleanup I suppose 🙂 )

And of course, Quake Live cannot be absent!

• 32 slot tournament, single elimination
• 8 groups of 4 players each, top 2 advance to playoffs
• All games are Best-of-3, with grand final being a Best-of-5
• 60000 SEK prize money (about € 6000) divided amongst the top 3
• Maps: qzdm6, qzdm13, qztourney7, qztourney9, ztntourney1

Cobie from Tek-9 posted a large preview/prediction of the outcome of the Quake Live Duel competition, which will take place Thursday, to be concluded in semi finals on Friday morning 10:00 and 11:00 and in the afternoon there’s the 3rd place decider at 14:00 to be followed up by the grand finals at 14:30.
