Map 4 of 6: Blood Run
We kept seeing Quake Live forum threads begging for this Map made years ago by Sten “Ztn” Uusvali, yet until now the developers kept their cards close to their chests about bringing back old user made Maps. For many years Ztn’s Blood Run was a Quake 3 Tournament favorite and yet it seemed like it was going to be left at that until now. I’m personally delighted to say that this week’s new Quake Live map is Blood Run. Bravo!
From Quake Live Map Preview
In 1997 Sten “ztn” Uusvali created the original version of Blood Run for QUAKE 1 as a homage to E1M5 Gloom Keep, and it became an instant hit. Following the release of QUAKE III Arena, ztn re-built Blood Run from scratch and released it in 2000 to an even greater reception. Over the past 9 years, Blood Run has become a staple of Duel competition, and a favorite of players around the world. Countless professional tournaments have been decided, and hundreds of thousands of dollars earned over the years within the halls of Blood Run.Everyone on the QUAKE LIVE team would really like to thank Sten for allowing us the privilege of bringing Blood Run to QUAKE LIVE, and we know he was excited to once again bring many hours of fun to this community. Enjoy!

They pretty much denied it until the last minute. Hehe.
no shit:p
Feckin right!
I’ve never played it before but I’m actually looking forward to it! Yeah I’ll get humped for a while but I’ll learn it and have fun doing so on a new map.
perhaps they’ll bring ztn2 also someday. I liked it too, although it’s a bit smaller than ztn1 and wasn’t used as much for duels…
